Question 1

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

As early as your plans allow, particularly for airport transfers, event dates, and peak periods. Short-notice bookings are accommodated when vehicles are available, but popular time slots - especially early morning airport departures and major event days - fill quickly. For same-day requests, a direct call or WhatsApp message is the fastest approach.

Question 2

Are your prices fixed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, without exception. The figure in your quote is the figure on your receipt, provided the journey details remain as agreed. There is no surge pricing, no meter running in the background, and nothing added to the invoice without your prior agreement. If the plan changes, the quote is revised and confirmed with you before anything moves. Please note Parking charges are added to the fare at the end of the journey.

Question 3

What does the price include?

Accepted Answer

Your quoted price covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, all in-cabin amenities, and a grace period at pickup. For airport transfers it also includes real-time flight tracking and a meet-and-greet inside the terminal, so the arrival is handled end to end. Anything beyond the agreed journey - additional stops, extended waiting past the grace period, tolls, or specific requirements such as child seats - is discussed and agreed when you book, never presented afterwards.

Parking charges incurred during the journey are the one item added at the end, and only at cost. The principle is that the figure you approve is the figure you pay: no meter, no surge, and nothing on the invoice you haven't seen coming. If you'd like a clear breakdown of what your specific journey includes before you confirm, ask when requesting the quote and we'll set it out in writing.

Question 4

Can I receive an invoice for my journey?

Accepted Answer

Yes. An invoice and receipt are issued following every journey. For corporate accounts, invoicing is consolidated monthly and structured around your internal requirements. VAT receipts are available and issued correctly as standard.

Question 5

Is there a booking fee?

Accepted Answer

No. The quoted price covers the journey in full. There are no platform charges, booking fees, or administrative additions of any kind.

Question 6

Which airports do you cover?

Accepted Answer

Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, Luton, and Stansted are covered every day. Private aviation terminals and FBO facilities are available on request - see our Private Aviation page for further detail. Cruise port transfers to Southampton, Dover, Tilbury, and other UK ports are also available - full information is on the Cruise Port Transfers page.

Question 7

Where will my chauffeur meet me on arrival?

Accepted Answer

Inside the arrivals hall, holding a board displaying your name clearly. Before you travel, we confirm the exact meeting point - terminal, level, and precise location - so there is no uncertainty when you come through. You will not be searching for your driver and your driver will not be searching for you.

Question 8

What happens if my flight is delayed or lands early?

Accepted Answer

Every flight is tracked in real time from departure. Your grace period begins from actual landing, not from the time the flight was originally scheduled to arrive. If a significant delay develops, we adjust the chauffeur’s schedule and stay in contact. You will not be charged for circumstances that are entirely outside your control.

Question 9

How long is the waiting grace period at the airport?

Accepted Answer

A standard grace period is built into every airport transfer from the moment of landing, giving reasonable time to clear immigration, collect baggage, and pass through customs before your chauffeur's waiting time begins to count. The exact allowance varies by airport and booking type - a large international terminal is treated differently from a domestic arrival - and is confirmed when you book. Because it runs from actual landing rather than the scheduled time, a delayed flight never shortens it.

If you come through quickly, your chauffeur is already in position; if it takes longer than the allowance, waiting beyond the grace period is charged in 15-minute increments at the rate agreed in advance, with nothing added silently. For arrivals where you anticipate a slow clearance - connecting flights, peak periods, or travel with children - mention it when booking and we can plan a longer allowance up front.

Question 10

Can child seats be provided?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Share the ages of any children in the party when booking and the correct seats will be fitted and ready. As much advance notice as possible is appreciated to ensure the right seat is available for your journey.

Question 11

Can you accommodate oversized or specialist luggage?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Share the full picture of your luggage when you book - large cases, golf bags, ski equipment, pushchairs, mobility equipment, or specialist items such as instruments or sample cases - and we allocate a vehicle with the right capacity from the outset. This is confirmed before the day rather than resolved on the pavement at collection, which matters most at airports where a mismatch would mean a second vehicle and a delay.

Because passenger numbers and luggage trade off against each other, tell us both: a V-Class, for instance, carries a group comfortably but trades some boot space for seating, while a saloon suits two travellers with cases. For unusually large or fragile items we'll advise the best vehicle and how it will be loaded and secured. The aim is that everything you're travelling with is planned for in advance, not improvised.

Question 12

How will I know when my chauffeur has arrived?

Accepted Answer

Your chauffeur’s name, direct contact (masked), and vehicle details are sent to you ahead of the journey. On the day, your chauffeur confirms they are in position at the agreed time. For airport collections, contact is made once you have cleared arrivals and are approaching the meeting point.

Question 13

What if I need to adjust my pickup time on the day?

Accepted Answer

Reach the operations desk by phone or WhatsApp. We will accommodate the change where vehicles and schedules allow. If the adjustment affects the price, that conversation happens before anything changes.

Question 14

What if my chauffeur is delayed?

Accepted Answer

It is uncommon, but if any issue arises with your pickup we will contact you as early as possible - not when the problem has already affected your schedule. In the unlikely event of a significant delay, an alternative is arranged and you are kept informed throughout. The Star Standard applies to how we handle problems as much as how we handle straightforward journeys.

Question 15

Can I request the same chauffeur for future bookings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you have travelled with a particular chauffeur and would like to request them again, let us know and we will do our best to arrange it subject to their availability on your dates.

Question 16

Is smoking permitted in the vehicles?

Accepted Answer

No. All DRVSTAR vehicles are strictly non-smoking throughout, including e-cigarettes and vaping devices, however our chauffeurs will pull over at a safe spot to accommodate you.

Question 17

Can I bring food and drink into the vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Can I bring food and drink into the vehicle?
Still and sparkling water are provided in every vehicle as standard. Light food and sealed beverages are generally accommodated. Hot food and open alcohol are not permitted. If you have a specific requirement - a hamper for a day at the races, for example - mention it at the time of booking and we will advise accordingly.

Question 18

How do I choose the right vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Share your party size, luggage, and the nature of the occasion and we will recommend the most suitable class. As a general guide: the E-Class suits one or two passengers on executive city journeys. The S-Class is the right choice for VIP, principal, and high-profile travel. The V-Class serves groups, families, and those travelling with substantial luggage. The Range Rover brings presence and confidence on any road. The Maybach provides the finest rear cabin in the fleet for clients who require it. Executive minibuses and coaches handle larger groups. The full fleet is detailed on The Collection page.

Question 19

Can I upgrade my vehicle after booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, subject to availability. Contact us as soon as the preference changes and we will confirm what is available along with any adjustment to the price.

Question 20

Do you offer electric vehicles?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The fully electric EQE is the counterpart to the E-Class, the EQS to the S-Class, and the EQV to the V-Class, so you can choose an electric vehicle without stepping down in class or comfort - each offers the same in-cabin standard as its conventional equivalent with a zero-emission drivetrain and notably quieter progress. They suit clients with sustainability preferences and journeys through low-emission zones.

Request an electric vehicle when booking and we'll allocate one where available for your date and route; where an exact electric match isn't free, we'll tell you in advance rather than substitute silently. For corporate accounts an electric-preferred setting can be saved so it applies automatically across bookings.

Question 21

What are the passenger capacities across the fleet?

Accepted Answer

The E-Class seats up to 4 passengers and the S-Class up to 3. V-Class seats 6 to 8 depending on configuration. Range Rover seats up to 3 passengers. Maybach accommodates up to 3 passengers in the rear. Executive minibuses and coaches begin at 8 passengers and scale upwards depending on the vehicle. Stated capacities are not exceeded under any circumstances.

Question 22

What is hourly chauffeur hire and when is it the right choice?

Accepted Answer

Hourly hire places one chauffeur and one vehicle entirely at your disposal for a set number of hours, rather than booking individual journeys. It's the right arrangement when your day involves multiple stops, a schedule likely to evolve, or when you simply want a car consistently available and your belongings staying securely in it between movements. It suits investor roadshows, press days, private shopping, full-day corporate programmes, and event days where the plan may shift by the hour.

The chauffeur stays with you throughout, handles parking and access at each stop, and adapts as the day runs early or late, so you're never rebooking on the move. If, by contrast, you need a single direct journey from A to B, a point-to-point transfer is usually better value and we'll say so. Tell us how the day looks and we'll advise which arrangement fits and the minimum hours that apply.

Question 23

What is the minimum hire period?

Accepted Answer

Minimum hours vary by vehicle class and date. The minimum applicable to your booking is shown at the time of quote or confirmed when you make an enquiry.

Question 24

Is mileage included within the hourly rate?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within a reasonable usage policy for your hire window. Journeys that extend significantly beyond the agreed scope are quoted separately and flagged before they apply. There are no mileage surprises presented at the end of the day.

Question 25

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation terms vary by journey type, vehicle class, and the notice you give, and the free-cancellation window that applies to your booking is confirmed in writing when you book rather than buried in small print. As a general principle, cancellations made within the agreed window are free; late cancellations and no-shows may be charged in full, because the vehicle and chauffeur have been committed to your booking. Peak dates, private aviation transfers, and specialist arrangements can carry more specific terms, all shared and agreed upfront.

If you need to cancel on the day of travel, the terms confirmed at booking apply and a charge will generally apply - but if the circumstances are genuinely exceptional, contact us directly and we'll handle it with fairness and good sense rather than rigidly. Changes short of cancellation, such as a revised time or an added stop, are usually accommodated where schedules allow.

Question 26

Can I change the destination or add a stop after confirming?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Notify us as soon as the plan develops and we will update the booking and revise the quote where applicable. All changes are confirmed in writing before they take effect.

Question 27

What if I need to cancel on the day of travel?

Accepted Answer

Same-day cancellations are subject to the terms confirmed at the time of booking. A charge will generally apply. If the circumstances are exceptional, contact us directly - we will handle it with fairness and good sense.

Question 28

How do we open a corporate account?

Accepted Answer

Reach us by phone or email with your company details and a brief outline of your travel requirements. A short call follows to agree the service structure, invoicing format, and any preferences specific to your organisation. Most accounts are operational within a day or two.

Question 29

Can multiple colleagues book on the same account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Multiple bookers can be added to a single account, each with individual cost centre references or department codes if required. Monthly invoicing is consolidated and presented with a full breakdown by traveller, department, or journey type.

Question 30

Do you offer credit accounts with monthly invoicing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for approved corporate clients. Payment terms and invoicing structure are agreed at the point of account setup.

Question 31

How is my personal data handled?

Accepted Answer

In full accordance with UK data protection law. We collect only what's necessary to deliver your booking - contact details, pickup and destination, and any preferences you choose to share - and we don't pass it to third parties for commercial purposes. Information is retained only for as long as operational and legal obligations require, then removed. Booking details, travel companions, and destinations are treated as confidential by every member of the team and by the chauffeurs, who operate under the same expectation; where a more formal arrangement is needed, NDAs are available and handled discreetly.

Payment information is processed securely and not stored beyond what's required. The full Privacy Policy on the website sets out your rights, including access and deletion, and how to exercise them. If you have a specific concern about how your information is handled for a particular booking, raise it when you book and we'll confirm the position clearly.

Question 32

Is my journey information kept confidential?

Accepted Answer

Yes, without qualification. Your destinations, travel companions, and any details shared during the booking process are treated as strictly confidential by every member of the team. Our chauffeurs operate under precisely the same expectation. Where a more formal arrangement is required, NDAs are available and handled discreetly.

Question 33

Are chauffeurs vetted and properly licensed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every DRVSTAR chauffeur holds the appropriate private-hire licences and has completed our internal vetting process before carrying a client - licence verification, reference checks, and a route-knowledge assessment. Ongoing training covers guest care, security awareness, and professional conduct, so the standard is maintained rather than assumed at the point of hire.

Chauffeurs are selected as much for judgement, discretion, and presentation as for driving: they arrive early, confirm details quietly, handle luggage and doors without being asked, and understand when to speak and when not to. The same confidentiality expectation that applies to the office applies to them. This is what "Verified" in Discreet, Reliable, Verified refers to - not a claim about the fleet, but a standard applied to the people in it. If your booking has specific security or discretion requirements, tell us and we'll brief the chauffeur accordingly.
